REF your article ‘Road rage’ page five of the SNJ on Wednesday, July 1.
A few weeks ago I experienced road rage but in this instance I had the event on video.
So I duly reported it and to give the constabulary credit they acted promptly – but the outcome of my interview was not quite what I had expected.
After viewing the event, the officer informed me that in his considered opinion it could be argued my lane discipline at the last roundabout was suspect and I was guilty of careless driving, inflaming the offender who was behind me to behave in the manner he did, which was to overtake me, pull in front and brake violently.
Realising that I am on to a loser, I decided to kick the matter into touch, keeping my fingers crossed that if this letter is published I will not become too much of a target.
