WOW.

Seven letters on refugees a couple of weeks ago.

Is this a record?

Your readers have been moved with the dilemmas and humanity of the situation, and Cameron responded.

This refugee trickle gives us a dress rehearsal for the increasing number that will be forced away from the increasing record breaking weather events resulting from climate change.

These "climate refugees" similar to the ones on our screens will be those contributing least to the changes that drives them to flee.

If we do not change significantly from our "business as usual" lifestyle we will all need to shelter "climate refugees".

We have not personally caused the Syrian refugee situation but most of us in the UK have contributed more than our fair share of the earth’s warming gases now and in the past years.

We all have a moral obligation to show humanity and humility to climate refugees as has happened voluntarily to some Syrian refugees in the last week.

My hope is we and our politicians act on climate change.

The next chance in the Paris summit in December.

If we do not and climate change forces people to flee, I hope we will then have the moral fibre to not turn the resulting climate change refugees away, despite the difficulties we will all face.
