I AM writing to you about the SNJ headlines, articles and letters.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but I feel people are getting ‘carried away’ by the whole media coverage, plus the pro-immigrant propaganda being ‘put out’ by the BBC.

I do not want Stroud, Gloucestershire, or any part of Britain, to take in thousands, or millions, of unknown foreigners.

If many people come into Britain and receive housing, good schooling and excellent free medical help in our great hospitals, all facilities that they have not paid for – some of the poorer strata in our class system will become very hostile towards these lucky incomers.

Many of our younger generation cannot afford a home of their own and are living with parents or family.

Many have suffered cuts in services and losses in benefits including tax credits for single parents and the bedroom tax inflicted on some of the hardest hit in our system.

Many government actions have made our lives more difficult.

Soon pensioners will have to decide how many rooms they can heat through the winter and stretch their little money to feed themselves and pay the bills.

Do not think that all the people rushing into the country will be grateful for long.

Far from it they will soon be shouting about their ‘rights’ to this and that.

Many will want more.

This is human nature.

Think about it.

We have enough incomers to deal with now and sharing our country is difficult and could be dangerous.

Remember we do not owe these people anything at all.

Please do not get ‘carried away’ with emotions fanned by the general media.

Do not kid yourselves that those who have worked hard all their lives will be happy to share what they have got.

They will not.

We should be proud of our traditions and culture.

The road to democracy, tolerance and female status has been long and hard.

We love our country and hope that those who come to work and live here will also love it and respect our customs and standards of behaviour.

‘When in Rome do as the Romans do’ is very good advice.

Some religions who settle here expect us to adopt their creeds, culture and religions.

This will not happen very often.

Let us be happy that we live together in general harmony.

This is good.

Do not take in these people, mostly young men looking for money and status.

They are economic migrants, pure and simple, with ‘an eye for the main chance’.

The British Isles are basically a small island with a very large population.

We do not have room for many more people.

Let us be sensible and safe and please do look before you leap.
