I NOTE, with real incredulity, that our MP, Neil Carmichael, voted against the proposal to abolish the tax on sanitary products.

Whereas he, and all clean shaven men do not pay tax on their razors, women must pay tax on what is deemed to be ‘luxury’ items.

I would like to assure our MP that I do not luxuriate in what happens to my body once a month.

As a mother of three daughters, I feel it needs pointing out to Mr Carmichael that this family is deeply disappointed in his lily-livered voting behaviour.

I wonder what his female relatives think?
