Reader's Letter: Council tax has risen since 2011
REFERENCE to your news article at the top of page three on January 13, 2016.
It’s not true that 2016 will be the first rise in council tax for half a decade.
The quoted figures of 7p a week and £3.3 million funding gap do not make a dupe of me.
Since 2011 my council tax payments have risen overall by £53.41 – not nil.
A small amount Commissioner Martin Surl will immediately state as he again looks to council tax as a source of police force income.
Please kindly refrain from aiming your demands at our council tax Mr Surl.
