WE WOULD really like to share our experience of a visit to the Stroud Minor Injuries Clinic on Thursday, March 17.
From the moment we entered this department to the moment we left we were constantly greeted by happy, helpful staff.
We do not live locally but unfortunately our son-in-law had a fall and injured his ankle and on making an initial phone call we were greeted by a cheery person informing us the clinic was open and to come along.
Admittedly, our son-in-law was full of fun, and very entertaining, despite the pain.
We were there for two-and-a-half hours during which time we were seen within 10 minutes and left with all necessary documents, x-rays, plus a plaster cast.
We saw various patients enter the unit and all were dealt with promptly and with care and compassion, as if they were the first patient they had seen that day.
The point we would all like to express is that nurses, doctors and hospital staff generally do not get good press.
Please, please print this as encouragement and gratitude to everyone responsible for our experience that day.
Without people like you sharing your kindness, and compassion our day could have been very different.
Big thank you one and all.
Lizzie Jones
