IN REPLY to the letter from Francis Ray published 16/3/16 “Please save us from R4C proposal”
I find Mr Ray’s language and tone insulting; he seems to want to trivialise this debate.
It is certainly no laughing matter.
On the one side we have the incinerator.
Expensive to build and run, a very large construction that will have a considerable impact on the visual appearance of the Cotswold escarpment.
Burning our waste is wasteful.
On the other side, the R4C alternative, a green project using recycling, not burning, housed in a low level building and with a fraction of the set-up/running costs.
