Reader's Letter: Firefighters should have been thanked
I WOULD like through your letters page to express my great appreciation for the firefighters of Painswick who have over the last hundred odd years committed themselves diligently and compassionately to provide a service not just to the residents of the village but also the county.
The fire station was closed on Tuesday, March 29 without a single face to face thank you to the last crew who would serve the county from either the chief fire officer or his assistant.
The people of the county will miss you all and thank you for your service.
