IT HAS become very apparent that MP Neil Carmichael is a very avid supporter of the EU Remain lot.

Having read his recent piece in the SNJ (May 25) yet again we get nothing, nothing at all, only the waffle that we’ve already read and heard!

Over three quarters of what he says is pure assumption, nothing else, as it is with the rest of them.

No facts that matter!

As far as I can discern remaining in the EU is dragging us down to the lowest common denominator!

Let’s face it, they don’t like us!

Winston Churchill was not a ‘European’ and is recorded as saying: “We are for Europe but not of it”.

The French General de Gaul tried to keep us from joining what was supposed to have been the European Common Market after we had saved his neck during the Second World War.

Most people thought that he was a very ungrateful “friend”.

Actually he was doing us a favour!

We have the Commonwealth as before and we were happy with it.

We do not need Europe, certainly not in its present form and which we’ve had to ‘sort out’ three times in the last 200 years or so.

Politicians – regarding our so called ‘leaders’, as the Chinese philosopher Lao -Tzu said: “To know that you do not know is best. To pretend to know when you do not know is a disease.”

Towards the end of the Second World War, during one of his broadcast rants, I heard that Hitler said: “Germany might lose the war but we will win the peace.”

Think about that now.

Also Cameron is three quarters correct – there will be war in Europe but not between the nation states but between them and the so called ‘young migrants’ – it is reported that the hard right wing is already rising, particularly in Germany.

Think about the appalling mess the EU bureaucrats and Frau Merkel have permitted and cannot control, or come up with a solution to.
