On the post-Brexit unity flag which has been designed for Stroud Posted by lyn.wickedone: Has it never occurred to you outsiders that we the ordinary people of Stroud do not want to be the classed as the crazy greenie capital of the Cotswolds. I was born and bred here and I used to be really proud of our little town with something for everybody not just those who have set up residence here. You have reduced us to a coffee shop town with a protest every weekend. Please let us real Stroudies have our town and identity back.

Posted by A Stroud Worm: Which would you like to be more like, Dursley or Stonehouse?

Posted by lyn.wickedone: Which ever takes your fancy, I am a true old Stroudie. And I hate what has happened to our town by the outsiders.

Posted by Allan Zed: Being an ‘outsider’ myself, I couldn’t agree with you more. A beautiful English town, slowly turned into a stale patchouli-whiffed theme park of retired hippie dogma and bigotry.

Posted by Haloge: Oh dear, more PC cobblers from card carrying Remainiacs with nothing better to do than wave arty flags.

On estate agent Judy Sawyer’s petition against changes which mean disabled drivers can no longer park on double-yellow lines in Lansdown, Station Road, King Street and George Street in Stroud.

Posted by Disabled drivers need to follow the same rules as everyone else. Many times I have seen blue badge drivers parking in spots reserved for families with small children. In any event it seems that many blue badge holders do not look disabled, they are just overweight.

Posted by silvermaneuk: Blue badges are not handed out liberally. It is quite clear you have no clue whatsoever about the system. First you have to be referred for one by your GP or consultant, then you have to apply and then attend a medical review and assessment and test to get your blue badge.
