ON the man reunited with his cherished gold wristwatch which he lost at Stroud Country Show.

Posted by SensibleStroudy: Glad to hear there are still some good, honest people around in this day and age when the news is full of thefts and attacks. Lovely little story at the end of the article too. Good on ya!

ON the new signs to improve safety at the crossing to Waitrose.

Posted by Haloge: Most of the traffic going into Waitrose is travelling quite slowly, except perhaps for the odd boy racer in a BMW or Audi trying to impress himself. Perhaps the problem arises because it is quite difficult to see the pedestrian crossing if you are in a low slung car. BTW, has anyone actually been injured yet, or is it just a case of they could be and the random near miss?

Posted by Crow: I would think traffic calming would be more effective. Signs are easily ignored ON newly elected district councillor Skeena Rathor speaking out about being racially abused in front of her children in Stroud Posted by Nevertrustahippy : The comments directed at the lady are a disgrace and should rightly be condemned. However, what is also terrible about this story is how once again the left have contrived to co-opt the story to raise their extreme political agenda.

Posted by Haloge: To my knowledge virtually every race on the planet has its fair proportion of congenital racists and genetic ignoramuses, although apparently, these days, only white people are ever accused of suffering from either, since to suggest otherwise would be contrary to the soft bigotry of low expectation so beloved by cultural apologists while flaunting their white guilt. As someone who has spent a lot of time living abroad, including the Middle East and the Indian subcontinent, I am well aware that westerners are themselves subjected to racism."
