APOLOGIES to anyone who thinks I was pointing fingers at all valid blue badge holders, I wasn’t; however I reiterate the drivers I saw getting out of their cars had absolutely no problem doing so, nor did they have a problem literally strolling into town, no walking sticks or other walking aids in evidence, I don’t think you really need to be a doctor to work that one out.
In case anyone missed it I was referring to the abuse of the blue badge system; that abuse can be carried out by people ‘borrowing’ a blue badge so maybe the people I observed were doing that.
I also said that sort of abuse needs to be cracked down on to ‘to allow people with genuine disabilities the help and assistance that they need and deserve’, not sure why anyone would get upset about that statement.
Bottom line is my letter wasn’t aimed at anyone deserving of a blue badge rather at people who abuse the system.
Have I said something wrong?
