IN response to the sad letter of September 7 from Howard Price in which he refers to me, stating that “we do not live in a democracy”!

I respectfully suggest that Howard pops over for several months to a village in either North Korea or China.

Regarding the “appointment” of Theresa May as Prime Minister by her “200 cronies”, he conveniently overlooks Blair’s handover to Brown.

As for Howard’s comment that “Democracy is where the people decide” – it is.

As for those who chose not to vote along with the “losers”, must abide by the decision of the majority like it or not.

The major parties do not want to change the present system.

Perhaps we should have a referendum on this issue?

Of course, the ‘Remoaners’ would bemoan the result as with the EU referendum.

Reminds me of youngsters and their school dinners – “You can satisfy some of them some of the time but not all of them all of the time.”

Democracy is a non-starter for the likes of the EU’s Jean Claude Juncker and his cronies – all they’re interested in is personal aggrandisement and healthy bank balances.

It is also the reason that citizens of other countries are pressing for major change in the EU.

His statement: “The reason we have lost control of so much is nothing to do with Europe, the Tories have sold it all off.” What about Brown’s flogging off all our gold reserves at 47p an ounce, far below its value.

“His preference for our laws being made by a consortium of Europeans instead of that bunch of millionaires in Westminster”, what a fallacy.

He overlooks the fact that “The Consortium” to which he refers has become a bunch of millionaires riding on our backs – The Gravy Train.

The EU was a good idea but unworkable in every way as a result. In passing, Europe will not be the same in a few years.
