FOR as long as I can remember The Friends of Leonard Stanley School have raised much needed funds for the school through the Firework and Bonfire Night.
Unfortunately, due to the current government’s National Planning Policy this year will be the last, as the land on which the display is held will no longer be available as it will be a building site.
I therefore would like to ask our MP Mr Carmichael as representative of the current government, what his intentions are with regard to raising the monies that will be lost to the school when the event can no longer go ahead.
This is a very simple question and I ask Mr Carmichael not to reply with his usual meaningless waffle, but to give a positive and constructive answer to a very important matter.
