I FEEL that Clr Pickering’s launch of his much flaunted waste food collection should not go without some comment, speaking as one who was not looking forward with eager anticipation to its introduction, having reservations as to the wisdom of the enterprise, in remembering the rancid stench of the pig swill lorries of the 1940s.
If at this point may I quote from the Javelin Park merchant of doom hand book, by that well known author Anthony Chaos.
(I see day turned into night by a blanket of flies)
(Our highway’s alive with a sea of rodents)
(The population of our much loved Reynard out numbering the local human population) to complete the scenario the odd wer-fox howling at the moon beneath the walls of Rodborough Fort.
The seven years of plague and pestilence suffered by the ancient Egyptians will pale into a bad day out at the sea side.
On a brighter note perhaps we shouldn’t knock it till we’ve tried it.
