EVENING commuters rush past St Nicholas’ Church in Standish.
No time to stop and enjoy a silhouetted view of the building and trees brought about by a cold and clear winter evening sunset.
Standish Court was my first home in Gloucestershire and I love passing the church and house.
Memories of the first five years of my life flood in.
I wish I could return to those days of wandering the area, alone and without a care in the world.
