RECENTLY on national TV a suggestion was proposed that fairy tales should be revised, now it would appear that Cllr Simon Pickering has stolen a march on this latest trend, how does the song go, dreams can come true they can happen to you, but to qualify you must live in Stroud and believe in Cllr Pickering’s magic potato roundabout, then sit back in anticipation of your next plate of chips all very healthy.
Having read the article it all seems so simplistic, the busy little white truck flitting from one grey bin to another, a period of eager anticipation as the digester does its bit and a hey presto free energy, with no mention of unit cost to the consumer, but don’t stop there we also have a bonanza growing in our fields. If I read it correctly Ecotricity will return our countryside into one huge meadow of grass and what our cattle can’t eat and they have not covered with solar panels will be harvested to feed yet another digester, giving us a surplus of electricity to sell to the French, this must be a win-win dream come true.
