ANYONE attending the Festomane Exhibition in Stroud Leisure Centre cannot fail to have been impressed by the diversity of activities and local businesses represented.
It was brilliant to see the enthusiasm and interest shown by the many young people attending the event.
Hopefully the insight into engineering and technology that this annual event generates will stimulate and encourage the next generation of local innovators.
Perhaps we have another budding Sir James Dyson or Dr Nina Skorupska, chief executive of the Renewable Energy Association, in our midst?
Regardless of our political affiliations, we owe a vote of thanks to Neil Carmichael MP for his sterling work in developing, promoting and supporting the Festival of Manufacturing and Engineering.
Well done to all concerned with delivering such a positive event.
