NEIL Carmichael, outgoing MP for Stroud, has been spotted campaigning in Cheltenham, trying to prevent the return of Liberal Democrat Martin Horwood as representative for the town.
Is Mr Carmichael taking the support of his former constituents in and around Stroud for granted?
Or have his Conservative Association decided that - after his prominent role supporting continuing membership of the European Union - he is better out of the way, while his leader is advocating a Ukip-style Hard Brexit?
