AS EVERYONE is aware the discussion with regards to the incinerator is a political issue and not an environmental one.
The letter in May 24, which was signed by a mish mash of politicians and other strange signatures, was merely a collection of words which added up to them saying “we don’t want it”.
I would ask, for instance, the founders of Stroud Brewery or Days Cottage Juice what difference this building is going to have on their lives.
In fact I would ask all those who signed this letter the same question.
GJ Cleaver Whitminster Funding up WITH reference to the recent Labour election communication from David Drew which states “education cuts hit every local school”.
Our local school received an increase under the National Formula Funding this year of £22,000 a 6.6 per cent increase, double the rate of inflation.
There may be other schools in the constituency who have also benefitted from an increase.
