HAVING moved out of the Stroud area for a number of years and now returned, I am disappointed to see Tricorn House is still the eyesore it was when I left.
With the housing crisis we have in this country, it is about time Stroud District Council placed a compulsory purchase order on this property and turned it into accommodation for homeless people.
Companies and individuals should not be allowed to hand onto land/properties for years without doing something useful with it.
Councils should have more powers to take up ownership of such land/properties for the benefit of local communities.
Use it or lose it!
