WHAT sounded like two fighter jets flew over Stroud using their afterburners at 12.50am on Sunday, June 18.
Did anyone else hear them?
And I was wondering if this was it.
Exciting!
And I wondered what a nuclear war would be like, as I have done on occasions since the ‘80s.
A direct hit on GCHQ, flashes in the sky, a sound like a door slamming in the depths of Hell, as someone once said.
What would the morning bring?
Would there be a blackbird, dying from radiation poisonings, singing, for the last morning..?
On an upbeat, maybe there won’t be any nuclear war, and mankind has time to save the world from bread baskets turning to dust etc....it won’t be groundhog day forever.
One day it may be too late.
