EVER since I rescued him from a rescue centre, Dylan and I have had to work very hard at our relationship.

There have been problems with his aggression towards other dogs - especially since other dog owners would get aggressive and angry, adding to my problems, and sometimes even threatening us meaning the police have had to become involved .

But Dylan has always been kind to me even when I’ve had meltdowns in front of him.

I tried to talk training classes and taking Dylan to talk agility but only with limited success and unfortunately had to give it up due to the cost.

The world is full of enough difficulties as it is for someone like me with autism without having a dog who attacks other dogs and then gets me into confrontations with angry dog owners who have in the past been extremely aggressive and threatening.

So it’s great to have a friend like Dylan and the help of my friend Andrew and his lovely young Rottweiller Milo!

Recently a very kind dog behaviourist called Andrew Wellings helped me to begin to unravel Dylan’s life and his problems socialising with other dogs.

We’ve been able to make huge progress to the point where he will now walk off the lead and without a muzzle and unbelievably he hasn’t wanted any money because he just wants to help and knows I don’t have enough to be able to pay him!

Without my animals, my dog and my horse, I would be completely lost in a world of meltdowns, misery, anxiety and worthlessness.

I am a trained horse whisperer studying for my exams with Kelly Marks and Intelligent Horsemanship so I can’t afford to be having meltdowns and so my animals are my world!
