JUST returned from holiday in France where even the smallest villages have had the grass verges cut back and the hedgerow trimmed to ensure that it is easy for car drivers to see road signs and pedestrians not to get hit in the face with brambles and the like.
Cycle paths that are clean and well kept and not overgrown with stinging nettles brambles and the like.
On returning to the Stroud valleys we are greeted with overgrown roadsides, footpaths, and the worst of all the cycle paths that are virtually un-cycleable by adults never mind children.
With the school holiday approaching and not wishing to use the roads to cycle it’s time our council officials did what they are paid for and ensure that these necessary jobs are done.
