YOUR negative account and headline (26.7.17) regarding CQC report on Locking Hill Surgery, misrepresents the true character of this excellent general practice.
Our own GP and his colleagues are highly professional and endlessly patient.
They are supported by nursing and auxiliary staff always competent and courteous.
The receptionists are helpful and administration runs smoothly for the benefit of us all.
Your article tells us, but not until the last column, that CQC found that the staff ‘went the extra mile’ for patients and relatives.
Surely that could have been the basis of your headline?
That would be our assessment of Locking Hill Surgery after being registered with them for 20 years.
Now in our 80s we need them even more and are grateful that we can have complete confidence in our GP and his colleagues throughout the practice.
Of course.
You have a duty to report the CQC finding but the article lacks balance and generosity of spirit towards a much-valued local community asset.
