I THINK that the atmosphere in Stroud since the news leaked that the task and finish group preferred bid for the Sub Rooms was for Ecotricity has become very unpleasant.
Mr Vince is trying to save this much loved iconic facility for the public and should be applauded for his efforts.
He has offered to consult with Stroud Town Council which I understand was declined due to them backing the Stroud Trust bid.
The situation should be addressed by the district council by releasing all three bids now for the public to see why they have made the decision they have and whether all groups could work together to get the best outcome for the people of Stroud and this amazing building and forecourt.
Hopefully, the public will attend the ‘consultation’ to be held by Stroud District Council at the Subscription Rooms on November 18, to add their thoughts to the process before the final decision is made on December 5.
