I object to council's 'overbearing' attitude

MADAM - I feel I must refute Ellie van der Heijden's letter (SNJ July 18, 2012). As an avid recycler, even before it became 'fashionable', the only thing I am against is the council's arbitrary, overbearing 'we decide who will have what', one size fits all attitude - it doesn't. I am very much in favour of recycling. I compost and recycle everything possible.
