Rovers beat the big freeze
11:14am Saturday 19th January 2013 in Sport By SNJ Sport
AN early morning pitch inspection at Stockport has given the green light for Forest Green visit to Edgeley Park (3pm).
David Hockaday's side travel to Greater Manchester aiming to extend their unbeaten run in 2013 to four games and the chance to do the double over a team they have already beaten 4-1 this season.
Stockport sacked manager Jim Gannon on Wednesday following a defeat to Mansfield on Tuesday which saw them fall into the drop zone.
Loan signing Yemi Odubade is in line to make his Forest Green debut after joining the club from Gateshead on Thursday. While Reece Styche could mark his 100th league appearance for the club if he features.
Stephen Brogan’s sore knee keeps him out and Ben Wright is still a couple of weeks away from returning from his knee injury.
Hockaday has plenty of options to mix and change his back line.
Jamie Turley sat on the bench at Nuneaton after returning from suspension, with Aarran Racine and Eddie Oshodi in the centre of defence, while Jared Hodgkiss has returned admirably with the captain’s armband recently.
