FOREST Green fan John Light believes former Leeds United boss Neil Warnock is a prime candidate to replace David Hockaday.
The ex-Gloucestershire CC chairman feels an experienced campaigner is the right man to lead the struggling New Lawn outfit, who parted company with Hockaday by mutal consent on Monday.
“Rovers have a wealthy owner and a fine set-up and Neil Warnock would be an ideal man to guide the team,” said Light.
“Former Cheltenham boss Steve Cotterill is a man who has worked miracles at this level and current Robins boss Mark Yates would be another pick for me along with Braintree boss Alan Devonshire, who seems to work miracles on a shoestring budget.
“The new man could take us on a fine adventure. So many things are right at the club, one of them being the youth section masterminded by Scott Bartlett, who I feel has a bright future.”
