Forest Green will have to pay compensation if Kidderminster boss Steve Burr takes the managerial reigns
FOREST Green will have to pay Kidderminster substantial compensation for Steve Burr if chairman Dale Vince hands him the job at the New Lawn.
The club confirmed yesterday that it had received a request from their Conference Premier rivals about talking to Burr.
After Gateshead boss Gary Mills and Micky Mellon had turned down the chance to work at the New Lawn, Kidderminster's manager became their number one target and was favourite for some internet bookies yesterday.
Harriers can expect compensation for their manager, who extended his deal at Aggborough until 2016 in April.
Burr is rated as one of non-league's best managers and since joining Kidderminster in January 2010 he has guided them to two sixth place finishes and and second last season.
Burr is expected to attend Forest Green's home clash against Dartford today. Assistant Kiddy boss Gary Whild will take the reigns for today's league clash at Barnet (3pm ko).
