ARCHWAY U15s completed a fantastic year by winning the district final at Fromehall Park.

Shaun Piper’s side boasted an unbeaten run in the league after beating Marling (55-17), Deer Park (50-0), Kingshill (14-7) and KLB (19-10) to reach the district final.

Stroud started brightly in the final with Owen Hyatt seeing his try disallowed for going into touch. However, Kingshill took the lead from a penalty.

Nonetheless, Archway’s Charlie Childs put his side back in the game with a try.

Forwards Charlie Knight, Charlie Baker, Greg Workman and Nick Evans were on top and Archway scored again thanks to a Luca Caldarone try and a Childs conversion.

Archway dominanted after the break. Caldarone scored again after some clever play from fly- half Harry Slattery.

The try tide continued- Childs scoring his second try, coming from full- back to support Sam Smetham and Frankie Evans. He then confidently scored the conversion for Archway to lead 24-3.

Hyatt finally scored his first try of the night after some good work from Nathan Windle and Iain Parson.

Captain Adam Harrison was exceptional with his leadership on the pitch.

However, Kingshsill sored three tries late on.

Team manager Shaun Piper said: “The team spirit, determination to succeed and work ethic has resulted in this incredible turnaround of results this year.

“I would personally like to say how proud I am of the boys involved.”
