Former Forest Green favourite Luke Graham in New Lawn return?
FOREST Green are believed to be making a late swoop for former captain and fans’ favourite Luke Graham.
The SNJ understands cash-strapped Skrill Premier rivals Hereford United have already turned down an approach from Kidderminster Harriers, but a cash bid from Rovers may force the Edgar Street side’s hand to part with their captain.
Centre-back Graham,27, is also a target for Wrexham, signed a new one-season contract in the summer, where he also took up a coaching role at Edgar Street.
A move to the New Lawn could be rushed through if Eddie Oshodi moves to League One Brentford before the 11pm transfer window deadline.
If a deal fails, boss Ady Pennock may move for Graham in the summer.
Graham balances his football career with a part-time journalism course at Staffordshire University, which is funded by the Professional Footballers' Association.
He was part of the Great Britain side that bagged silver at the World University Games in Russia last summer.
Graham arrived at The New Lawn for his second spell at the club in July 2011 on a two- year contract.
Graham and Forest Green agreed to part ways midway through his two-year deal and he joined Hereford United two years ago.
Graham has also played for Northampton Town, Mansfield Town, Kettering Town, York City and Luton Town.
