Macclesfield Town have arranged a pitch inspection at 8am on Saturday morning ahead of the match against  Ady Pennock's  Forest Green.

Macclesfield groundsman Liam Cash said: "The pitch is currently playable after a dry 36 hours or so which allowed us to do a lot of repair work.

"Anyone at the game on Tuesday will have seen that the surface took a fair bit of damage. That said, it was a fantastic achievement to get the game to go ahead given the situation only a few hours beforehand, and I'd like to thank all the volunteers who came down to help out.

"But the weather forecast is very poor right up until the game, so we need a bit of luck with the weather, and if it's a close thing again we will be putting out the call for volunteers again."

If the game goes ahead, Rovers are set to hand former Bradford City defender Luke Oliver his debut.
