STRIKER Jason Walker has joined Southport on a month long loan in a bid to gain match fitness.
Walker, 29, signed for Forest Green until the end of the 2013-14 season after the former York City striker returned to the UK from a six month spell in Swedish football.
But Rovers have played only four of their eight scheduled fixtures since Walker signed on January 22 and the striker has managed only two brief substitute appearances.
The loan will end on 26 March, the day before Rovers play Southport at Haig Avenue.
Strike duo Matty Taylor and Reece Styce are on loan at Chester City and Wycombe Wanderers respectivley.
