IAN Saxelby limped off after bowling just two balls on the first day of Gloucestershire’s County Championship game against Surrey at the Oval.
It is another setback for the seam bowler, who was making just his second appearance for the county after 18 months out with shoulder and knee problems, and marred a day where Gloucestershire fought back well after being bowled out for 168.
Will Tavare top-scored with 59 with Matthew Dunn (5-4) doing most of the damage.
However, James Fuller then took 4-38 as play closed with Surrey on 118-6 with Benny Howell taking the key wicket of former South Africa captain Graeme Smith for just 14.
