THE now-traditional fixture against Forest Green tops the bill of Slimbridge’s pre-season calendar.

Leon Sterling’s men will face Ady Pennock’s Conference Premier big spenders on Tuesday, July 22 (7.30pm), while they have also arranged home friendlies against local rivals Shortwood United three days later (7.30pm), and Southern League new boys Larkhall Athletic on Saturday, August 2 (2pm).

Their first game is at home to Gala Wilton on Saturday, July 12 (3pm) with another game at Wisloe Road against Brimscombe and Thrupp the following Saturday (3pm), while the only away game arranged so far is at Fairford Town on Tuesday, July 29.

As well as playing Slimbridge, Forest Green will make their annual short trips to Shortwood (Saturday, July 19), and Brimscombe and Thrupp (Tuesday, July 29).

• Jack Twyman won both the Players’ Player of the Season and Supporters’ Player of the Season award at Slimbridge’s recent presentation evening.
