STROUD'S Kinetic One Cycling Dynamics Race Team achieved its proudest moment, when team member Ben Price took sixth place in his age group at the World Duathlon Championships in Pontevedra, Spain.

The 32- year-old went sub 34 minutes for the undulating opening 10k run placing him high up the field going into transition.

He held his position on the hilly 40km bike leg before storming home in 17.39 for the leg sapping final 5km to finish sixth.

Ben said: "It was the first time I’ve competed for Great Britain and it was an amazing experience.

"The crowds on the run route were incredible and to race against athletes from all over the world was a real buzz.

"It was hot and the course was tough, but I am pleased with my performance which made the dedicated training since January well worth it – though a podium next time would be nice."

Stroud- based Kinetic-One Cycling Dynamics designs and builds custom built Tri and Road bikes for riders of all abilities – and specialises in the complex science behind the simple act of riding a bike.

Andy Morgan, owner of Kinetic-One said: “ We are enormously proud of Ben. He has worked so hard over the years and this is a much deserved achievement.”
