STROUD AC runner Tina Gomer came out on top at the Cancer Research UK Race For Life and made it a family affair in memory of her mum.
Super-mum Tina,45, raced ahead of more than 2,000 women at Gloucester Park, today to win the 5K race, but it was all about taking part with daughters Amy,22, and Jessie, 20, who ran in memory of their nanny,Lina Weldt.
Tina said: "Mum sadly lost her battle with ovarian cancer over three years ago.
"Today, myself and Amy and Jessie were full of fighting spirit. We ganged up on cancer, giving everything we had.
"It was a great atmosphere and I'm so proud of my girls for helping their nanny during difficult times and all the other runners for supporting such a fantastic cause."
