FROCESTER completed the double over Weston with a 41 run victory on Saturday, maintaining their top of the table position.

It was another magnificent century from captain Nick Trainor, which laid the basis for the victory.

Frocester batted first, and after Beard was run out, Trainor and Quereshi featured in a partnership of 86, with Trainor the dominant partner.

Quereshi eventually fell for 26 and after 40 overs the Frocester total had only reached 128 for two.

However, Trainor and Wand cut loose against the tiring attack and added 90 runs in the final 10 overs as Frocester reached a total of 218-3.

Trainor was dismissed in the penultimate over, having struck 10 boundaries and three sixes, but Wand remained unbeaten on 57.

Chasing the highest total on the Weston ground this season, the home team knew they faced a difficult task. So it proved as the Frocester bowlers were very accurate and, despite a few too many dropped catches, Weston were restricted to 177-9, with Olly Jones the pick of the bowlers with 3-28.

Weston were then restricted to 177-9.
