CHARLOTTE ELLIS enjoyed her best finish of the season when taking joint sixth place at the Royal Belgian Golf Federation LETAS Trophy last week.

Charlotte, from Cockleford and a member of Minchinhampton Golf Club, shot a two-over par total of 218.

It left her nine shots adrift of the winner, Sweden's Isabella Ramsey who coincidentally was also top of the leaderboard when Charlotte last made the top 10 in Sweden back in May.

Charlotte is feeling very comfortable contending virtually every week on the LET Access (second tier) European Tour.

After three early birdies in her final round, she had moved into fourth place but some 'silly errors' and a lack of concentration prompted by the 36 degree temperatures at the Rinkven Golf Club caused her title challenge to melt in the heat.

"It was a good week but hard work due to the conditions and I found my concentration dipping at the end of my final round," said Charlotte.

"I felt I was a bit unlucky, too, as I got a flier on the 12th hole where I made double bogey after going through the green and finishing next to a tree.

"I was also frustrated not to make any birdies on the second day. I feel my game is there but I have to cut out the silly errors."

Charlotte has her bags packed waiting by the phone for a call which would see her playing on the main Ladies Tour at the Sberbank Golf Masters in Prague this week.

"I am second reserve at the moment and the tournament starts on Friday," said Charlotte. "If I get up to first reserve I will get on the plane and take my chance as I know the course having shot seven under in the last two rounds of the tournament there 12 months ago."

Charlotte then faces a hectic schedule next month back on the LET Access Tour with four tournaments on a 'Scandanavian swing', taking in Sweden, Norway, Sweden (again) and Finland.
