BRIMSCOMBE and Thrupp’s new manager Mike Green has introduced several new faces and the addition of Jamie Walker and Jordan Fletcher from Forest Green Academy  has strengthened the squad.

Walker, who also had a short spell at Shortwood, has scored in all three pre-season friendlies the club have played so far and the new boy produced the only goal of Saturday’s 1-0 win over Clanfield in the 15th minute.

The home side should have made use of the chances their football created.

The visitors from Oxfordshire were unlucky not to equalise when Micky Sloan hit the woodwork.

Ben Deakin and Matt Blythe came on as late substitutes for the Lilywhites and gave the home side a more positive look, but the Walker goal was all that was on offer to a reasonable crowd Brimscombe now await Conference neighbours Forest Green who visit the Meadow on Tuesday night (7.45pm).
