THE Premiership Rugby 7s begins at Kingsholm tonight.
The Cherry and Whites have named an exciting squad ready to take on Bath Rugby, Exeter Chiefs and London Irish in Pool B.
The squad, lead again by Olly Morgan and Simon Lane, sees two faces that helped lift the trophy at the last season's curtain-raiser return in Steph Reynolds and Rhodri McAtee, and they are joined by a sprinkling of talent from across the Gloucester Rugby Academy.
Back-to-back Junior World Championship winners Callum Braley and Henry Purdy are set to make their bow in Cherry and White after summer moves to the club while England Under 18 Sam Underhill appears alongside centre Ollie Thorley, a first team debutant in February against Northampton Saints.
Young back rower Dan Thomas will be involved after a summer move from the Scarlets and Jacob Rowan will also have a first chance to impress at Kingsholm.
The squad will be captained by Sevens World Cup winner and new signing Aled Thomas, who starred alongside McAtee in the Welsh victory in 2009, with Sam Showering of the Wailers Sevens squad appearing in Cherry and White for the first time.
