GLOUCESTERSHIRE were frustrated by the rain after making a good start to their abandoned Royal London One-Day Cup game against Essex at Chelmsford.
Chris Dent was unbeaten on 33 from 30 balls with Michael Klinger on 17 not out when the weather intervened with Gloucestershire on 55-1 off 11.1 overs, Hamish Marshall the only batsman to fall for four as both sides had to settle for a point apiece.
Gloucestershire are now second in Group A, one point behind leaders Yorkshire with three games left. Their next game is at home to Lancashire on Tuesday (10.30am).
