HELLENIC PREMIER
BRIMSCOMBE 1
ASCOT 5
ASCOT galloped to an emphatic 5-1 Hellenic Premier Division victory over injury-hit Brimscombe.
New Lillywhites boss Mike Green was hit by injuries and unavailability, cutting his 23-man squad to just 12.
Brimscombe matched a powerful Ascot side in the early stages before Daryl McLean and Leon Younie scored to put Ascot in control.
McLean made it 3-0 on 30 minutes as he fizzed beyond Adam Thomas.
Brimscombe hit back with Dan Holloway firing in a superb free-kick.
However, McLean completed his hat-trick on 65 minutes before Jamie Walker and Ben Deakin forced visiting keeper Chris Grace to pull off two great saves.
Nonetheless, Adam Harnaham made it 5-1 with a goal with seven minutes remaining.
Brimscombe travel to Highworth Town, tonight.
