THREE young players from Minchinhampton Golf Club have made the Gloucestershire (GLCGA) team for the England Golf County Finals to be held at Belton Park Golf Club, Lincolnshire, from Monday week (September 15).
County champion Victoria Wakeley-Jones, Grace McLaughlin and Charlotte Heeps have all been selected for the eight-strong squad which features five players under the age of 18.
Gloucestershire has now reached county finals in five out of the last six years despite a number of their players having turned professional.
This year they will also be without Bethan Popel who has been called up to the England team for the Home Internationals which sadly clash with County Finals week.
Scheduled matches: Monday, September 15 – Glos v Herts; Tuesday, September 16 – Bucks v Glos; Wednesday, September 17 – Glos v Yorks; Thursday, September 18 – Glos v Hants; Friday, September 19 – Lincs v Glos.
