LEE Hughes saw red as Forest Green tasted their first Vanarama Conference defeat of the season in a full-blooded clash against Wrexham.
A moment of sublime skill saw Rovers stung on 53 minutes. Moult bent a 25-yard free-kick up and over the wall and beyond the sprawling Russell.
Rovers’ riposte was immediate with Parkin close to pinching parity.
Pennock made a double substitution on 67 minutes with Frear and Kelly leaving the fray for Hughes and Kurtis Guthrie respectively.
Coles missed a chance to level it up for Rovers, but failed to get enough purchase on his header from a Sinclair cross.
The Dragons showed their bite and Russell slapped away a Hunt stinger and grabbed Jennings’ strike.
The match boiled over, with Guthrie lucky to be handed a yellow card, after a reckless touchline lunge on Jennings.
It got worse. A moment of madness saw Hughes given a straight red for kicking out at keeper Bachmann with eight minutes to go.
Bachmann saved Wrexham in the dying moments as he fingered away a Parkin header from a Guthrie cross.
