FOREST Green defender Chris Stokes is confident a scan on his right knee will bring a positive outcome.

Rovers head to Vanarama Conference baement boys AFC Telford United tonight (7.45pm), with left-back Stokes missing for a third consecutive match after picking up a knock in the defeat against Barnet.

" I am due to have a scan on my knee in Cheltenham on Thursday and I will find out how things are on Friday," said the former Bolton Wanderers man.

"I ran on Monday, so I am not feeling too bad."

Stokes' latest setback is galling for the the buccaneering defender, who felt he was getting back to the type of form, which saw a raft of league clubs keeping tabs on him.

"The hamstring injury I picked up last season really put me back, but I was just starting to get back to my best, but hopefully I will be back very soon."

Meanwhile, midfielder Clovis Kamdjo has a chance of returning to the Forest Green ranks after missing the last three outings with a hamstring niggle.

Giant defender Luke Oliver (hamstring) remains on the sidelines alnog with James Jenning and Aarran Racine.
