Organisers of Cheltenham’s first permanent mud running course, have announced that the Devil Mud Run will be sponsored by local sports clothing company Raging Bull Sportswear.

Founded by former Gloucester and England rugby player Phil Vickery MBE, Raging Bull has been appointed as the official branded clothing provider for this new venture.

‘We’re so excited to have Raging Bull on board with the first ever Devil Mud Run. Everything that the brand stands for – strength, quality and ruggedness – has perfect synergy with the Devil Mud Run and the fact that it’s a locally-based company is a huge bonus,’ said Nicholas Williams, Devil Mud Run organiser.

Phil Vickery and his Raging Bull Sportswear team take great pride in working with British start-up companies.

Sales Manager Andy Deacon said: ‘Our durable clothing is extremely hard wearing, as well as looking good and so it makes good sense to be involved with such a tough sporting challenge.

"It’s also great to be able to support a local business like this and provides the opportunity for Raging Bull to feature at an event in front of thousands of participants.’ Setting itself apart from other mud run organisations, the Devil Mud Run is a permanent course, which will also be available for hire, allowing the team to expand its reach and become one of the biggest in the county and beyond.

"The first mud run event is taking place on 21 & 22 February 2015 and the 8km course is nestled in the Cotswold Hills giving people the opportunity to run across open, hilly and rugged countryside."

Featuring over 30 natural and man-made obstacles with plenty of mud and water thrown in, the details of the Devil Mud Run course will remain a highly guarded secret but with obstacles named Satan’s Steps, Ice Dip and Swamp Thing among others; participants are in for a treat.

All finishers will also receive a goody bag that includes an exclusive Devil Mud Run branded Raging Bull T-Shirt.

Raging Bull Sportswear has also provided an online shop facility to Devil Mud Run that features the total bespoke clothing range for the event.
