GLOUCESTER rugby star Ben Morgan makes his first England start of the Autumn Series after a try-scoring impact against the Springboks.

Morgan is joined by Gloucester team-mate Jonny May for the third QBE International against Samoa at Twickenham on Saturday (7pm kick-off).

Billy Twelvetrees, the Gloucester skipper will start amongst the replacements as Stuart Lancaster makes a few adjustments to his back line ahead the test against the Samoans.

While Saturday was England’s fifth straight defeat, Morgan is convinced there is no need to start panicking about their World Cup prospects.

And with Samoa and Australia coming to town in the next fortnight and a Six Nations campaign afterwards, there are still opportunities for England – and Morgan – to turn it around.

“We have had the capability of beating teams, it’s just being able to put it all together at once,” he added. We’ve got to be real here.

“The two teams that we’ve played now are ranked one and two in the world, and there’s three points in it, so it’s not a case of panic stations at all.

“Three points, that is one penalty at the end of the day, so when we go back and review it we’re going to look at this sort of thing.

“Discipline is something that we’ve always prided ourselves on, so that’s something that we can fix very simply. Fix that and I think it’s a totally different talk to you guys and a totally different game.

“We’ve got another two games, let’s not forget that, we’ve got chances to put this right and finish strongly.

“There’s never the sense of easing back after getting level, we know that you’ve got to fight tooth and nail during the game, and it’s just about managing that game and finishing it off strongly.”

Bath fly-half George Ford will start his first international for England in Saturday's QBE International against Samoa at Twickenham.

The Bath Rugby fly half takes over from Saracens' Owen Farrell and will be partnered by his former Leicester Tigers team-mate Ben Youngs at half back.

Farrell switches to inside centre while James Haskell (Wasps) and Ben Morgan (Gloucester Rugby) replace Tom Wood (Northampton Saints) and Billy Vunipola (Saracens) respectively in the back row. Rob Webber (Bath Rugby) comes in at hooker for Dylan Hartley (Northampton Saints).

England Head Coach Lancaster said: "Those selected have a great opportunity to show what they can do against what will be a highly motivated Samoa team.

"It's great to give George a start in this series, having missed the summer tour through injury. He has been impressive in camp and is now fully up to speed with the game plan and he is ready to run the game. Owen switches to 12 and I am sure will support George well.

"In the back row both James and Ben have been in great form and I am sure they will bring their physical presence to the game.

"Hooker is another competitive position and we believe Rob is ready for the start and will continue the progress he made on the New Zealand tour."
