HIGHYLY-RATED Forest Green Academy defender Scott Bevan has joined Southern League South & West Division side Swindon Supermarine on loan,writes Richard Joyce.
The second year left-back linked up with Supermarine at the end of last week and made his debut in a 4-0 away victory over Bashley on Saturday.
He joins fellow Academy defender, Cameron Pirie, who is already on loan at The Webbswood Stadium.
Bevan featured for the first team squad in pre-season in friendlies against Birmingham City and Arsenal.
Signed by Academy boss Scott Bartlett after leaving Swindon Town,he was picked up by Bristol City on a three-year contract.
However he returned to The New Lawn towards the end of last season and has continued to develop in Bartlett's youth set-up.
Former Forest Green boss David Hockaday was recently named as an advisor at Supermarine, and in the last few days has temporarily stepped in as assistant manager.
